Training Programmes

Summer Internship (April - June)

  • The Summer Internship Programme is designed to provide management students with a structured opportunity to relate theoretical and conceptual knowledge to practical, real-world organizational settings.
  • It enables students to gain exposure to core management functions and understand how managerial principles operate within a corporate environment.
  • Each student, under the guidance of an assigned faculty mentor, is required to identify and finalize a host organization by the end of February.
  • Upon confirmation of placement, a formal training protocol will be formulated in consultation with the designated training representative of the organization.
  • The internship will be undertaken for a duration of 8–10 weeks during the summer vacation.
  • During the internship period, the trainee is expected to:
    • Observe organizational processes and workflows
    • Engage in structured interactions with personnel at various levels
    • Conduct interviews and focused group discussions, wherever appropriate
    • Execute tasks and assignments delegated by the host organization
    • Utilize organizational documents such as charts, manuals and handbooks as supplementary learning resources
  • Students will base their analysis and reporting on the structural dimensions of the organization, its managerial processes and its functional outcomes.
  • Each student is required to submit a comprehensive internship report in the prescribed format and subsequently present and defend the work before an oral examination panel (Viva Voce).

Placement Training

  • The Placement Training Programme is structured to enhance students’ employability, confidence and readiness for corporate recruitment processes through a series of systematic training interventions.
  • The programme integrates workshops, interactive sessions and guided practice to support students across all stages of placement preparation.
  • Resume Development: Focusing on the preparation of professionally structured resumes aligned with sector-specific requirements.
  • Aptitude and Logical Reasoning Training: Strengthening quantitative aptitude, analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities for employer assessments.
  • Video Resume Training: Enabling students to present their competencies effectively through structured and professional video resumes.
  • Mock Group Discussions
    • Provides students with exposure to recruiter-style GD formats, enhancing clarity of expression, critical thinking and collaborative communication.
  • Mock Interviews
    • Simulates HR, technical and panel interview environments to improve articulation, confidence, professional conduct and domain-oriented responses.
