  • The Summer Internship Programme is designed to provide management students with a structured opportunity to relate theoretical and conceptual knowledge to practical, real-world organizational settings.
  • It enables students to gain exposure to core management functions and understand how managerial principles operate within a corporate environment.
  • Each student, under the guidance of an assigned faculty mentor, is required to identify and finalize a host organization by the end of February.
  • Upon confirmation of placement, a formal training protocol will be formulated in consultation with the designated training representative of the organization.
  • The internship will be undertaken for a duration of 8–10 weeks during the summer vacation.
  • During the internship period, the trainee is expected to:
    • Observe organizational processes and workflows
    • Engage in structured interactions with personnel at various levels
    • Conduct interviews and focused group discussions, wherever appropriate
    • Execute tasks and assignments delegated by the host organization
    • Utilize organizational documents such as charts, manuals and handbooks as supplementary learning resources
  • Students will base their analysis and reporting on the structural dimensions of the organization, its managerial processes and its functional outcomes.
  • Each student is required to submit a comprehensive internship report in the prescribed format and subsequently present and defend the work before an oral examination panel (Viva Voce).
