Future of Business

Founded in 1837 by Rev. John Anderson, Madras Christian College became a pioneer of English education in South India. Among its luminaries was Dr. Alexander Boyd, the revered “Prince of Principals,” whose vision laid early foundations of modern management thought. The MCC Boyd Tandon School of Business continues this legacy of tradition and innovation, made possible by the generosity of alumna Ms. Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon. Built on the values of Integrity, Innovation, and Influence, it is a place where history meets vision, excellence thrives, and future leaders are shaped.

Our Mentors

Ms. Chandrika Tandon

Ms. Chandrika Tandon is a renowned global business leader, a Grammy-nominated artist, and a humanitarian. As one of the youngest partners at McKinsey & Co, she later founded Tandon Capital Associates, advising over 40 financial institutions worldwide. Chairing the Board of NYU Tandon School of Engineering, and serving as a Trustee at NYU and NYU Langone Health, she is deeply involved in academia. Her philanthropic efforts extend to benefit educational institutions, musical concerts on international stages, and she has been bestowed with the prestigious award -NYU’s Gallatin Medal. Chandrika’s musical passion is evident in her nonprofit label, Soul Chants Music, with five albums, including the Grammy-nominated “Soul Call.” Recognized for her leadership, integrity, and contributions to science, she is a distinguished alumna of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and Madras Christian College. Chandrika is currently actively involved in developing the MCC Boyd Tandon Business School in Chennai, India.

Dr. Paul Wilson, Principal & Secretary, Madras Christian College

Dr Paul Wilson assumed office as 17th Principal of Madras Christian College in June 2020. He is a unique blend of researcher, academician, writer, trained musician and theologian. He is the Principal Investigator for Projects funded by UGC, DST SERB and UBCHEA and has published more than 30 research articles in peer-reviewed journals of international repute. He has also authored several articles published in esteemed newspapers. He holds patents to his innovative research models which he has invented during his academic career.

Dr. Alfred Devaprasad, CEO, Christwood School

Dr. S. Alfred Devaprasad is CEO of Christwood School and former President & CEO of Alpha Group of Educational Institutions. He holds M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Physics from renowned institutions. With 20+ years of experience, he has led esteemed institutions such as St. Christopher’s College of Education, and Kodaikanal International School. He is actively involved with nonprofit organizations as a trustee and has been part of an international leadership programmes on education.
