OVERVIEW

Dr Anson C. J is an academic and researcher specializing in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Management, holding a PhD from CUSAT with a thesis on Geographical Indications and Consumer Perceived Value in GI Marketing. His research interests include strategic management, marketing research, and innovation policy, with publications in reputed international journals. He has contributed extensively to SpicyIP and Third World Network, focusing on WIPO treaties, AI and copyright, and biopiracy awareness, while engaging with national IPR initiatives under DPIIT and CIPAM. Internationally, Dr. Anson has represented India at the Fulbright IP & Technology Transfer Program in Vietnam (2024 onwards) and the ALSA Conference in Singapore (2024), contributing to discussions on global innovation ecosystems, technology transfer, and cross-border IP collaboration. He has research engagements with institutions such as Leeds University (UK), AUTM (University of Louisville), and ALSA (Australia), underscoring his commitment to advancing international cooperation in intellectual property governance and management education. A sought-after resource person, he has delivered over 150 invited lectures across India and abroad, including at the Ministry of Textiles, NITTTR Chennai, IIM Kozhikode, St. Albert’s College, and Panjab University. He has guided 6 Ph.D. scholars, with three awarded degrees.
